This Blanket started as a large expiriment. I am spinning my own yarn since 2022. Then I started expirimenting with coloring my yarn and adding special fibers to my wool. The results was that I had a lot of small amounts of yarn. I decided to make a blanket with it. I love cables, so I decided to started with that and I would go with the flow.

Then I made a 'mistake' ;-p. I posted on fb and youall asked when the pattern would be available.....how could I ignore that question. So I started with making a plan.

I started designing. Searching for inspiration on all kinds of patterns. Some patterns weren't suitable for the blanket. I started a few patterns that I ripped out because it wasn't What I thought it should be. But I also tried out a few new ideas that worked out quit well. I took one of the patterns from my discover the seasons and extended it to create a larger block.

I had to try several things to create a similar effect as the cables that are knitted, I loved that proces. But how to add somethings into the charts. I had to invent some new symbols, but I found many knitting symbols suitable for what I needed.

The blanket has 30 different Blocks in it. It has been tested by Silke and the videos on YouTube are made by Tania Leis. 2 wonderful ladies who did a great job on this Cal.

It is a paid pattern and can be purchased on Ravelry. It is a 8 week Cal. Every part contains 2-6 blocks depending on the size of the blocks.

The size of the blanket depends on the usage of your yarn and hooksize.

Mine is made with my own, handspun yarn. It is at least bulky. I used a 10.0mm hook to create the blocks. Every pattern can be used in other projects. I have been inspired by knitting patterns which I adapted and translated into Tunisian crochet. All charts in the pattern are made by me in stitchfiddle. All charts are included in the paid patterns and eBook.

I am updating the tutorial page with a quick explanations of the stitches.

I asked my dear friend Tania Leis if she wanted to make videos to guide this pattern and seh agreed. I am glad that she agreed on it, because she makes them how I like to see the videos. Clear step by step videos. Not only of every block, but also of the stitches that I used in the pattern.

On this page you will find a written pattern only. This pattern only contains the written instructions. It will be free for just 1 week, then it will be replaced by the next part. If you miss a part then you can buy The complete pattern on Ravelry. The pattern on Ravelry has all the information in it, all links, explanation of the stitches, written pattern but also the charts, which work best for the cables.

block 16 Made by me. Dark yarn doesn't work with complicated pattern. Therefor, less is more, a simple block in TSS.

Block 17 made by me. This is a pattern that keeps popping up on my todo-list. Finally I incorporated it into tunisian crochet.
The blanket on the photo on the right is done in a relative new technique and yarn. It is Puffy yarn of Alize. Everybody can knit and it is knitting without needles.

Block 18 made by me. I started experimenting with several stitch combinations to create a lovely pattern which you can also use for a cardigan or sweater.

There will be more of these kinds of patterns which you can use for a sweater of cardigan.

I tried to make it able to buy each part seperately, but Ravelry doesn't allow that. Every pattern you update must be a finished product. So I am sorry but the only option you have when you miss a part, is to buy the complete pattern.

The paid version has all the information you need and all the charts.

The free copy is only the written pattern. Everything you need can be found here on my website. Download your free file of part 2 here. The first part has been removed. If you missed it then goto Ravelry for the complete pattern. Unfortunatelly it is impossible to upload seperate parts of this Cal onto Ravelry. The complete pattern will be updated for every part and you will get an update automatically.

There will be 8 parts. Each part contains 2-6 blocks depending on the size of the blocks. You can work from your stash. At the top of the blocks you will see how much you will need. It is an estimated amount.
